Unlock fury mode:
During gameplay pause the game and hold L1, L2, R1, R2 ALL at the same time and then enter Square, Square, Circle, Circle.

In the game there are 16 Secret Eggs to find which is one for each level. When you find a secret egg it will unlock the corresponding items.
